The Japan Premium Media Consortium carries out research activities with the aim of verifying media and content value, and of improving ad value, in cooperation with media companies that make original contents - they produce, edit, and provide news information and articles, as well as video and audio content. We perform joint surveys and proofs of concept on topics such as user evaluations and synergistic effects between ads and content, share these research results, and reflect them in business models.
We conduct surveys with a focus on trustworthiness, percentage of text read and more. Based on the survey results, we verify media and content value in a multifaceted way, including analysis using a brain wave measuring system to discover users’ interest.
We measure effect of advertising by analyzing how user attitude changes when ads are run in media. We also analyze how it correlates with the strengths of the media, including dwell time and ad display time.
We verify brand safety initiatives using not only technology, but also from the viewpoint of media operation. We research environments that are safe and secure for both users and advertisers.
