Digital Garage Co-founds
New IR Company with Asia Securities Printing Supporting IR
in the Era of Web 2.0 Utilizing CGM
Introducing New IR Technologies to Bridge the Divide between
Corporations and Individual Investors
Digital Garage, Inc. (JASDAQ Security code: 4819, Head office:
Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Kaoru Hayashi, henceforth DG) will co-found
a new IR support company "Growth Partners, Inc." on
August 22 (tentative date) with Asia Securities Printing Co.,
Ltd. (TSE First Section Stock code: 7893, Head office: Minato-ku,
Tokyo, CEO: Morio Ueno, henceforth ASP). Growth Partners, Inc.
will be a new style of IR support company, utilizing the Web
2.0 structure as represented by CGM (Consumer Generated Media)
such as blogs.
As public companies are facing a radical transformation of
the environment surrounding capital markets, expectations
for individual investors to be stable long-term shareholders
is increasing. Timely and precise IR activities are critical
in order to secure stable long-term shareholders. However,
the most effective approaches to attracting individual investors
and using IR technologies have yet to be established. In addition,
the majority of individual investors feel that there is a
lack of information available when considering investments.
With the popularization of CGM such as blogs, a significant
amount of unbiased information dispatched voluntarily by individuals
is becoming more accessible. The new company, Growth Partners,
Inc., aims at supporting communication between corporations
and individuals by introducing two-way IR activities, instead
of the traditional one-way information traffic, by utilizing
the mechanisms offered by Web 2.0, such as CGM.
For public companies, Growth Partners will offer solutions
leading to more effective IR activities by enabling the collection
of feedback from individual investors by utilizing techniques
for searching blogs.
For individual investors, Growth Partners will develop a
new type of information service using Web 2.0 technologies
and offer easy access to corporate information gathered from
databases using CGM, etc.
Growth Partners, Inc. is the result of close cooperation
between DG, a company leading the Web 2.0 era and ASP, the
number one disclosure company, which boasts many listed companies
as clients. It will serve as a bridge between public companies
seeking to approach individual investors and individual investors
looking for easy-to-understand and useful information.
