Digital Garage Invests in Illustration and 3DCG Service Whomor, Offers Cloud Sourcing Services to over 3000 Creators Internationally

Tokyo, December 16, 2015 – Digital Garage, Inc. (TSE JASDAQ: 4819, DG)’s wholly owned investment and incubation subsidiary DG Incubation, Inc. (DG Incubation) and DK Gate (DKG) has announced its investment in Whomor (Head Office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Mikiya Shibatsuji; Henceforth: Whomor).

Established in November 2011 as a startup company, Whomor has enjoyed considerable growth as a cloud sourcing service for illustrations and 3DCG creation for games. Whomor services allow users to mass-produce high quality work in a short period of time by creating a cloud sourcing network comprised of 3,000 creators globally.

In addition to utilizing its cultivated database via cloud sourcing; as of January 2015 Whomor launched a new business initiative specializing in manga content creation on smartphones. With this investment, Whomor plans to expand its business by producing advertising content using manga and output original content for mass production of hit contents. Whomor looks to expand it’s manga creation services overseas as an effort to both increase its clientele and spread Japanese manga culture to the world.
