DGFT Launches QR Code Payment Service “Cloud Pay” for Small Parking Lots with Low Equipment Costs

Helping to Overcome Barriers to Cashless Adoption and Contributing to Regional Economic Revitalization and Greater Convenience

2025.10.22

• DG Financial Technology, Inc. (HQ: Tokyo; Representative Director, President and Co-COO: Hiroshi Shino; “DGFT”), a subsidiary of Digital Garage, Inc.(TSE Prime section: 4819; HQ: Tokyo; Representative Director, President Executive Officer and Group CEO: Kaoru Hayashi), which operates the Group’s payment business, announced that its unified QR code payment solution “Cloud Pay” will be gradually introduced starting in November at “Nice Ticket Park” parking facilities (93 locations in Kagawa Prefecture) operated by Yokoi Co., Ltd. The rollout will enable the use of multiple QR code payment services (*1).

• This initiative allows users to make cashless payments simply by scanning the QR code displayed on-site with their preferred QR code payment app (*2). It offers a low-cost, quick-to-deploy cashless payment solution for small-scale parking lots (*3).

• Going forward, DGFT plans to expand “Cloud Pay” to approximately 200 parking lots operated by Yokoi across the Shikoku region, including additional “Nice Ticket Park” locations and other parking business formats.

(*1) PayPay, au PAY, d PAY®, and Merpay will be available, with Rakuten Pay to be added in sequence.
(*2) Cash payments remain available at payment machines.
(*3) In this release, “small-scale parking lots” refers to surface parking lots accommodating from several to about a dozen vehicles.

■ Background and Purpose
The spread of cashless payments in the parking lot industry has so far been centered on medium- to large-scale facilities such as gate-type and flap-type parking lots, where automated payment machines equipped with payment terminals are used. DGFT has also been providing payment solutions integrated with such machines.
However, for small-scale parking lots accommodating only several to a dozen vehicles, the high costs and operational burden associated with installing automated payment machines and handling cash collection have made it difficult to advance cashless payment adoption.

This initiative enables small parking lots to introduce cashless payment services easily, in limited spaces, and at low cost, without the need to install automated payment machines.

■ Overview
“Nice Ticket Park” is a surface parking lot that uses a prepaid, fixed-rate system with daily pricing.
Users can complete payment by scanning the “Cloud Pay” QR code installed on-site with their preferred QR code payment app.
Because no large-scale construction work or installation of automated payment machines is required, the system shortens installation time, reduces initial equipment investment, and lowers cash management costs such as coin exchange and cash handling.
For users, the service offers the convenience of completing payments using only their smartphone, eliminating the need to prepare cash in advance.

■ About Cloud Pay
“Cloud Pay” (Patent No. 7303664) is one of the cashless payment services in DGFT’s “Cloud Pay” series. It is one of Japan’s largest (*4) QR code payment platforms, offering a bundled service that allows merchants to accept multiple QR code payment brands through a single contract with DGFT.
By simply displaying a QR code, merchants can easily introduce QR code payments. The simplicity and efficiency of this system have been well received by a wide range of businesses facing challenges in improving operational efficiency and implementing cashless solutions, driving continued adoption across industries.

At the same time, DGFT will contribute to realizing a safe, secure, and convenient cashless society for all users.
