(TSE Prime section: 4819; HQ: Tokyo; Representative Director, President Executive Officer and Group CEO: Kaoru Hayashi), which operates the Group’s payment business, announced that its unified QR code payment solution “Cloud Pay” has launched integration with “AEON Pay,” the smartphone payment service provided by AEON Financial Service Co., Ltd.
Cloud Pay (https://www.cloud-pay.jp, Patent No. 7303664) is one of the largest QR code payment platforms in Japan*1, offering a bundled solution that enables merchants to accept multiple QR code payment services through a single contract with DGFT.
Its ease of implementation has been well received by a wide range of merchants seeking to adopt cashless payments. In addition to retail stores and restaurants, adoption has expanded primarily in the automated machine market, including vending machines, payment kiosks, and amusement facilities such as game centers.
■ QR Code Payment Services Available on “Cloud Pay”
With the addition of AEON Pay—a smartphone payment service with more than 10.3 million members*2—Cloud Pay enhances payment convenience for consumers while contributing to increased sales opportunities for merchants and the expansion of consumer spending.
As a result, the number of QR code payment brands available through Cloud Pay has increased to nine, offering users a broader range of payment options and enabling merchants to meet diverse payment needs through a flexible payment environment.
