Business Initiatives

In 2021, our Group established the “Open Network Lab ESG No. 1 Investment Limited Partnership” (commonly known as the “Earthshot Fund”), an ESG-focused fund targeting startups in sustainability and related fields. Furthermore, we established the “Open Network Lab II Investment Limited Partnership,” targeting companies with the intention of generating positive social impact, including addressing climate change challenges, thereby strengthening our startup investment and support structure as an impact bridge fund. Through these funds, we go beyond simply providing capital to investee companies. By collaborating with “Open Network Lab,” Japan’s first seed accelerator program, we offer hands-on business development support leveraging the Group’s extensive network, as well as dedicated guidance in building ESG management frameworks and impact creation systems. In doing so, we promote investment activities that realize both the sustained enhancement of corporate value for startups and the creation of social and environmental value.
