Delivering a Care Experience with Zero Payment Wait Time Through Collaboration with ORCA Management Organization
*1 Estimated figure based on the Overview of National Medical Expenditures for FY2023 (Only in Japanese),calculated by subtracting approximately 1 trillion yen in out-of-pocket pharmacy dispensing costs from the total patient burden of 5.7 trillion yen.

<Background to the New Function>
As healthcare institutions face growing demands for cashless payment of medical fees and for digital transformation, patients are also showing increasing needs, such as shorter wait times after care and a reduced burden in managing and checking receipts for tax filing (medical expense deductions).
To date, CurePort has provided a platform that enables everything from reception to payment on the day of care to be managed online, allowing patients to head home immediately after their appointment.
This time, by strengthening integration with the widely used WebORCA Cloud Edition, Digital Garage developed this new function with the aim of creating an environment where, in addition to the convenience of online payment, patients can easily check and manage the details of their care and a breakdown of their costs on the app at any time.
<Overview of the New “Receipt and Statement Integration Service” Function>
This function allows patients who make payments using CurePort at healthcare institutions that use WebORCA Cloud Edition to have the electronic data for their receipts and itemized care statements provided and viewable directly within the dedicated CurePort app.
■ Benefits for Healthcare Institutions: Greater Operational Efficiency and Higher Patient Satisfaction
By enabling patients to check the details of their care and a breakdown of their costs themselves on the app, the service helps reduce inquiries handled at reception desks and delivers a smoother care experience. Furthermore, by providing an advanced, digitally enabled healthcare experience, it also contributes to higher patient satisfaction.
■ Benefits for Patients: Greater Convenience in Checking Care Details and Costs
After completing payment, patients can easily check and refer to their receipts and itemized care statements on the app at any time. This lets them quickly review past care history and payment breakdowns, and serves as an aid for confirming details and organizing records when filing taxes and in similar situations.
■ Dramatic Operational Efficiency and Reduced Wait Times Through Adoption
With the adoption of CurePort, the payment wait time for patients, which previously averaged 20 minutes, is reduced to zero. In addition, the time administrative staff spend processing payments is significantly reduced, from 5 minutes per person to zero, making a major contribution to operational efficiency at healthcare institutions.
<About CurePort>

By adopting CurePort, healthcare institutions can easily introduce cashless payments, while patients can make payments quickly and smoothly after their care by registering their patient ID number and payment information, such as a credit card number, in the dedicated app.
